Guest Designer Friday - Megan AKA McSquared

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

So I promised I would have some Guest Designers and here is the second one. I will be featuring a Guest Designer every other friday. This Week's Guest Designer is
Megan! If you haven't seen Megan's work you are truly missing something Special! Here is Megan's Bio:

Megan , also known as MC, started crafting at a very young age under the guidance of her mom, Tina. In 2004 she was introduced to the art of paper crafts by her friend and co-worker Marilyn. But it wasn't until 2009 that her real passion for creating one-of-a-kind cards and scrapbooks broke through. It all started with a challenge; Create a 30-page scrapbook of reasons why everyone that knew and cared about her boyfriend thought he was great. She sent an e-mail out and collected notes and photos from his friends and family. In one week, Megan used only supplies she had in her craft box (donated to her by her mom) and 36 hours to make the best Valentine's Day Present ever.

From there, her desire and passion for cutting, pasting and embellishing grew each day. For Christmas of 2009,
Megan received a Provocraft Cricut from her parents. The purchase revolutionized her ability to create and preserve memories her and others had created. The results were life changing and (MC)² Productions was born. Megan is a a certified Scrapbooking, Design & You instructor. When she isn't crafting Megan works for a Rock Radio Station.

Here is her Layout and the story behind it:
Love-Faith- Strength Layout - Breast Cancer Awareness.

This is a 12x12 layout I did for my friend Cynthia to recollect and reminsice on her 10-year anniversary of her and her families participation in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Philadelphia this past May. Cynthia and her family started walking for her cousin. After her cousin passed, they kept walking to honor her memory. In 2007, her mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She is a survivor and one of the strongest and loving people I know. It was an honor to do this page for her.

I challenged myself with this layout. I had to use at least 2 recycled items and supplies I already had in my craft room. I also wanted to do something without using a die cutter. It was really challanging because I am in love with my Cricut and Gypsy. I wanted a small title to not take away from the picture and the message. I also wanted to keep with the theme of awareness and have a call to action - which is to ask for people to pray for a cure.

I have to thank my friend Cynthia for allowing me to use her words and picture to make this page. She is an incredible friend.
