Guest Designer Friday - Megan AKA McSquared

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

So I promised I would have some Guest Designers and here is the second one. I will be featuring a Guest Designer every other friday. This Week's Guest Designer is
Megan! If you haven't seen Megan's work you are truly missing something Special! Here is Megan's Bio:

Megan , also known as MC, started crafting at a very young age under the guidance of her mom, Tina. In 2004 she was introduced to the art of paper crafts by her friend and co-worker Marilyn. But it wasn't until 2009 that her real passion for creating one-of-a-kind cards and scrapbooks broke through. It all started with a challenge; Create a 30-page scrapbook of reasons why everyone that knew and cared about her boyfriend thought he was great. She sent an e-mail out and collected notes and photos from his friends and family. In one week, Megan used only supplies she had in her craft box (donated to her by her mom) and 36 hours to make the best Valentine's Day Present ever.

From there, her desire and passion for cutting, pasting and embellishing grew each day. For Christmas of 2009,
Megan received a Provocraft Cricut from her parents. The purchase revolutionized her ability to create and preserve memories her and others had created. The results were life changing and (MC)² Productions was born. Megan is a a certified Scrapbooking, Design & You instructor. When she isn't crafting Megan works for a Rock Radio Station.

Here is her Layout and the story behind it:
Love-Faith- Strength Layout - Breast Cancer Awareness.

This is a 12x12 layout I did for my friend Cynthia to recollect and reminsice on her 10-year anniversary of her and her families participation in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Philadelphia this past May. Cynthia and her family started walking for her cousin. After her cousin passed, they kept walking to honor her memory. In 2007, her mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She is a survivor and one of the strongest and loving people I know. It was an honor to do this page for her.

I challenged myself with this layout. I had to use at least 2 recycled items and supplies I already had in my craft room. I also wanted to do something without using a die cutter. It was really challanging because I am in love with my Cricut and Gypsy. I wanted a small title to not take away from the picture and the message. I also wanted to keep with the theme of awareness and have a call to action - which is to ask for people to pray for a cure.

I have to thank my friend Cynthia for allowing me to use her words and picture to make this page. She is an incredible friend.

Please visit
Megan's blog for a giveaway she is hosting over there!

Recipe/Supplies:
3-12x12 pieces of paper -White, Pink Pink& White Patterend ( K&Co & My Minds Eye used)
1 12x2 transparency
ATG Adhesive
Dymo Caption maker

Hi Everyone!!

I love love love Pink by Design - Design Team Fridays! Sarah told us we could use any stamp set or all of them... I was so happy I made 2 projects a Scrapbook layout and a card.

The First Project - Let's Chill Out.
I used the Pink by Design - Jump & Jive set and just to show you how truely versatile these stamps are and that they are not only for Card Markers I made a Scrapbooking layout. This set pairs up perfectly with the Nifty Fifties Cricut Catridge but how well does the Let's Chill Out fit with this layout? Dont you just love these penguins? I DO! These are some Pictures from mine and Hansel's first trip to New York (Hansel's Place of Birth). Once again I went and used the 3M Post it Craft Paper. I am not kidding this is stuff is awesome! I just might be addicted! I used it for the penguins, the Igloo and the Snowflakes.

The Second Project - Have a Bubbly Day Card:
Since I started blogging in June I have fallen in love with making cards! I love it! I haven't bought a card since! I love how you can fit any card to any person or occassion. This card I am thinking of using for a wedding. This is my first Gatefold card and I decided to make the sentiment something that could slide off to open the card and i love this feature. For this card I used the Pink by Design - Girls Just wanna have Fun Stamp Set

IMAGINE-NATION Blog Hop

Hi Everybody!!!

This should be your 3rd stop on the Blog Hop. You should have come over here from Emma's Blog. If you didn't and just bumped into this Blog Hop. Don't be shy! start at the begining with Sarah at Pink Cricut. You wont be sorry there are great projects and giveaways at every Stop! This is a Two Day event!!! Share with your friends :)

I am so excited to share with all of you my VERY first Blog Hop Project Ever!!! As you all know I purchased my Imagine on the night it launched and I have been creating since it got here. I just love the versitility of this machine its so great to be able to mix the patterns and colors of the Imagine Cartridges with your existing cartridges... It just opens up a WHOLE NEW WORLD! I love it! this being my first ever blog hop I really wanted to do something a little different. So here it is my very first blog project not completely made of paper... I really wanted to make something for my friend/Neighbor Vivianne who just had a baby and living that busy Mom Life! so I started off with a Magnet/Dry Erase board that I got at Michael's and got to crafting!
I used the font from the Cindy Loo Cartridge and my favorite pattern from the Nursery Tails Imagine Cartridge. I printed and cut out Baby Camille's name on some Post-It Adhesive Craft Paper.
I made the magnets with the i-top and the Medium i-top magnet daddies and... you guessed it Post-It Craft paper. It was great for this because the paper didnt slip around while i was making the magnets.
I decorated this frame, the Post-It Take Note section and Camille's name with the i-Rock.

I actually printed and cut everything from the Post-It Craft Paper (I think i might actually be obssesed with this stuff) with the exception of the front part of the frame because I wanted the new Mommy Vivianne to be able to change the picture for others as Camille grows.
Recipe for my Project:
Cricut Imagine
Nursery Tails Imagine Cartridge
Cindy Loo Cricut Cartridge
Post-it Craft Paper (I love this stuff and it can be purchased at Amazon.com)
Large Post-It Notes
i-Top
i-Top medium Magnet Daddies
i-Rock
Clear Hot Fix Crystals
14x14 Magnet/Dry Erase Board

I really enjoyed making this project with my Imagine and I hope you enjoyed it as well. Thanks for stopping by and now for the really good stuff. Today in honor of the 1st ever Imagine-Nation Blog Hop. I am giving away the Freshly Picked Cricut Cartridge. If you want to enter to win the rules are simple become a follower and leave a comment with a way to contact you (morethanfavors at gmail dot com). Once you are done you can continue hopping!
