More Than Favors Jump Start!

Hi Everyone!

Long time no talk! I’m still around and trying to Jump Start my creative juices! Yes the other day I decided that I would craft everyday in April in order to see if I could get my groove back (my crafting groove). I made this banner with my Silhouette Cameo!

Yep! TWINS!!! spontaneous Twins! We are over the initial shock and excited to meet them! I will be posting weekly updates over at www.itstartedwithjude.com

Project Closet Craft Space

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. I know I did! Since we only have a two bedroom we have decided to turn the closet in Jude's bedroom into my craft space. It's a work in progress. Jude is currently sleeping in our room. So we decided we would finally make him a big boy room (minus) the closet. Ours is pretty big so we will put his clothes that needs to be hung up (which isn't much) in our closet.

Since the Cubes were such a great deal at Michaels this weekend. I decided to purchase some (6 to be exact) along with the table tops. 

Here are some of the steps involved in creating my craft space.

Step 1. Buy furniture  ✔️

Step 2. Rip out existing hardware in closet including the doors

Step 3. Organize and Purge (this is a scary word) my current craft supplies.

Step 4. Buy paint (haven't decided on a color)

Step 5. Buy peg board (I haven't decided if I want the whole wall or not)

Step 6. Buy new closet doors that I can lock somehow so jude can't access my stuff

Step 7. Complete Craft Space

Now this unfortunately will not happen overnight. My goal is to have it done by January 1st 2015. That sounds far away but it's actually right around the corner. I will be sharing pictures throughout the process. My first picture is just a selfie with my cubes :)

Silhouette Cameo

Hi Everyone!

I am so sad today. My Silhouette Cameo seems to be busted.... It was working fine last weekend and this weekend it decides not to power on. I'm not sure what happened. I tried all the troubleshooting suggestions they have on their website and nothing.. I emailed Silhouette. I hope there will be a solution. I got my machine in November of 2011 as a gift from my Best Friend Michael. 

Has this happened to anyone else? 

Becky Higgins Project Life App

Hi everyone... 

First of all I want to give HUGE PROPS to all my fellow blogger crafty mommas. I still have yet to find my groove. I get stuff done but then the following things happen...

1. I make a project but don't photograph it.

2. I photograph the project but don't download the pictures

3. I download the pictures but I don't write a post.

Do you see my dilemma here? I don't know how all of you do it... If you have tips for me please share. I really feel like I don't have enough hours in the day. 

The one thing that I have been doing is working on my project life albums. Am I upto date??? Nope but what scrapbooker is? 

So yesterday I downloaded the new Project Life app and I love it!!!! It's pretty cooler it has some of the kits in there and you can purchase additional ones and you can really create your pages on the app. I think this is great! Most of my pictures are on my phone. The app even has a photo collage tool! I love this! They will also be adding photo ordering soon! How exciting is that. So here is my week 19 layout. The great thing is that you can create the layout and save it and when you are ready pull the cards you picked and just put it together. Cool right?

Next Friday (maybe sooner) I will post a  the actual layout. I think this new tool will be extremely helpful for someone with limited time.

Hi Everyone!!! 

Can you believe it? Yep I'm posting again! Did you like my Project Life post yesterday? I hope so. I may need to double up on Project Life posts. Because although I haven't posting them I actually have been working on them! Just need to take the pictures in the daytime and this whole work thing is getting in my way! Ha! 

Well today I wanted to show you a card I made using my new favorite technique cutting washi tape with my Cameo. Oh its fun and sooooo addicting!

This is a card that I made for a friends daughter who is graduating from High School! Yep I feel old. LOL

Hi Everyone! 

I am really trying to stick with a Regular Posting Schedule... I really don't know how you moms out there are doing it? I am so tired! and Jude is almost 2! But I wouldn't change it for the world. It's been so much fun to watch him grow and turn into this little person... Well enough about us! 

Today I wanted to post a Picture of well... a Picture! Hansel and Jude bought me the Fuji Instax Mini 8 camera for Mothers day in my favorite color YELLOW! I had been wanting one for quite a while. I know what you are thinking... Really in this digital age you want a polariod camera?  Well Yes! I think for Project Life & Studio Calico Kits it will be a nice Touch! Well here it is along with my very first Picture! Of course my first picture had to be of this little guy!

Frozen Inspired Banner

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all doing well. We are continuing to feel better over here. Thank Goodness! Today I just wanted to share a Banner that I made this past weekend. I was having people over to cut a cake for my daughter's friend and I whipped up this banner in about 30 minutes the morning of the "Cake Cutting". I was pretty impressed with it. I have to say the guests also liked it. I am working on a similar one right now but working with different colors. I can't wait to show you that one! But here is my Frozen Inspired Banner!

I really need to get better lighting! But overall I really liked the way it turned out!

I'm sorry.

We have been hit by the plague or at least it seems so. Jude has not been feeling well and has been super clingy. Won't let me get anything done. This is how he has been falling asleep the last 3 nights. 

He is hugging my arm. Holding on for dear life. When we move him he starts screaming and crying for me. Needless to say it's been a rough couple of nights. He's sick, I'm sick and daddy is starting to catch up. The picture above was taken about 10 minutes ago. He just fell asleep. I'm sorry but in going to have to postpone the next challenge. I'm really sorry but mommy duty calls.

A simple Layout!

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are doing well! I went to a crop this past weekend and I got some Scrapbooking and Project Life Layouts done. Now I'm only 2 weeks behind! Here is my simple layout using a portrait of Jude that was taken on our cruise on the Carnival Fredom 2 weeks ago. I used my Bluegrass Farms Studio Calico Kit and some washi tape. I have to say the washi banners took some time but I totally love the look!
